Policies & Procedures
1. Booking & Retainers
First-Come, First-Served: All appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
50% Booking Fee: A non-negotiable 50% upfront booking fee is required to reserve your appointment.
What Fee Covers: The fee applies directly toward your total session cost and covers pre-shoot communication, planning, location scouting, and calendar reservation.
Refundability: Booking fees are non-refundable, except in the event that the photographer cancels the session and is unable to reschedule.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
48-Hour Advance Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must provide notice at least 48 hours before your scheduled shoot time.
Same-Day Cancellations: For same-day schedule changes, call immediately to request a new date.
Last-Minute Rebooking Fee: Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to the session are subject to a rebooking fee.
3. No-Show Policy
Retainer Forfeiture: Missing your scheduled session without prior notice results in an immediate forfeiture of your booking fee.
Future Booking Requirements: Clients who no-show are barred from scheduling future sessions unless the new session is paid in full at the time of booking.
4. Late Arrival & Grace Period
15-Minute Grace Period: A 15-minute grace period is granted for all sessions to account for NYC transit delays.
Deduction of Session Time: Arriving more than 15 minutes late results in that time being deducted from your total shoot duration (e.g., a 20-minute delay on a 60-minute session leaves 40 minutes of shoot time).
Automatic Cancellation: Arriving more than 30 minutes late results in an automatic shoot cancellation and loss of session time.
5. Inclement Weather (Outdoor Shoots)
Rescheduling Outdoor Sessions: If an outdoor, on-location shoot must be canceled due to bad weather, your session will be rescheduled to the next mutually available date at no extra charge.
6. Consultation & Onboarding
First-Time Client Meetings: All new clients complete a mandatory phone or Google Meet/Zoom video consultation prior to the shoot date to discuss project details and scheduling.
